Position Description:(primary functions)
- Assumes responsibility for recruitment efforts
- Coordinates recruitment activities to identify and contact prospective students in specified populations and provide them with information about the college and facilitate student enrollment
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred (experience in marketing, student recruitment, student advising, computer skills; good interpersonal skills.)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of duties to promote awareness of college programs and services
- Provides information about enrollment, degree programs, financial aid, and general college information to prospective students, parents, and the general public
- Works with local high schools to schedule regular visits for recruitment activities
- Provides materials, including college catalogs, schedules and brochures to local high school career centers and other community centers
- Participates in college fairs and other recruitment activities to promote college programs and services
- Follows up with prospective students by phone, email, or regular mail
- Assists prospective students with the application and enrollment process
- Assists in developing recruitment materials and flyers
- Answers telephone and email and provides information and assistance
- Responds to requests for information from other educational institutions, agencies, and prospective students
- Collects, compiles, verifies and records information for the preparation of various reports and/or reporting processes
- Maintains complex electronic records and prepares electronic reports
- Assists with registration
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
